Mount Carmel Guild Collection

Scope and Contents The collection consists of 405 35mm film negatives and 12 contact sheets containing 408 images. Journalist Richard Conniff took the images in August of 1970 while his father, James C.G. Conniff, was working with the Guild. The collection consists of printouts from a database compiled by Scott Willman, divided into three binders: A-F, G-M, and N-Z. Entries are arranged alphabetically by name, and each entry contains the following: name, interment number, date of interment, Lot number, and Section number.

The Library also holds 3 disks labeled as Interment Records A-F, G-M, and N-Z, from which the printouts were made.

Multicultural Radio Broadcasting Records

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of correspondence, applications, and supporting documents for hearings before the Federal Communications Commission, on behalf of Arthur Liu, owner of Multicultural Radio Broadcasting, which operated Newark's radio station WNWK (FM). Liu's applications were primarily for the construction permits for a new radio station in New York City. Included in the material are annual employment statistics that list employees in Newark, by job title, sex, and race (1993).
