Maxine Lisboa Papers
Abstract
Maxine Lisboa was researching the history of ASPIRA, Inc. for her doctoral dissertation. She has donated her research materials, which contain information regarding the ASPIRA Association and its involvement with Puerto Rican and Latino youth. Items include annual reports, financial statements, publications and correspondence from 1956 to 2007 that encompass all affiliate chapters with a particular focus on New Jersey and New York. In addition, there are also newspaper articles and studies documenting the work of ASPIRA and the various programs that it has implemented. The collection also contains the collected notes, interview transcriptions, and bibliographies for her dissertation proposals. Portions of this collection have been digitized.
