McLeary Postcard Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection consists of ca. 350 postcards, in two ring binders. All but one or two of the images are of Newark. Topics include street scenes, public buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, schools, hospitals, churches, theaters, parks, monuments, railroad and other stations, street scenes, and souvenir images. There are very few interiors (of restaurants, public buildings, etc.), views of private residences, or scenes featuring people. The Library does not have further information on the collector or the circumstances of the donation of the collection.
