Scope and Contents The major portion of the Henderson photograph collection consists of 24 large boxes containing more 20,000 negatives. Negatives and proof prints are filed in individual envelopes, each representing a commercial job. The envelopes are labeled with the order number, the customer's name and address, and the date of the sitting. Envelopes typically contain several negatives, with proof-prints. Scope and Contents

The collection consists of four flat boxes of black and white photographs, mostly 8" x 10" prints. A substantial number of the photographs are stamped with Johnston's name on the back. Subjects include Newark photos, photos from WNJR interviews and broadcasts, Newark Airport, military photos, sports and recreation as covered in the Newark Sunday Call, miscellaneous Associated Press photos and personal family photos, portraits and settings.

Scope and Contents Contents of the collection are as follows:Folder 1: contains black and white photographs (nine 8" x 10" and one 4" x 6") of downtown Newark street scenes, probably taken ca. 1908. The images show street scenes, buildings, pedestrians, trolley cars, horse carts, automobiles, advertising signs, etc. Four are stamped "Wm. M. Broadwell, Commercial Photographer."
