The Churchman Records were loaned to the New Jersey Historical Society and microfilmed by the Newark Public Library during the Newark Business and Labor Records Survey (1978-1980). A copy of the microfilm is also available at Newark Public Library. William Pereuss (d. 1953) and his wife Grace Hankins Pereuss (d. 1985) owned the William Pereuss Funeral Home at 722 Clinton Street, Newark until William's death. Grace Pereuss kept the accounts for the funeral home. The collection consists of three account books, which list funeral accounts chronologically.
