Maria Vizcarrondo is the first woman and Latina to become the President and CEO of the United Way of Essex and West Hudson. She became the Executive Director of ASPIRA, a community organization whose goal is to develop a younger generation of Latinos leaders. Miguel E. “Don Mike” Rodriguez was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico in 1934. He moved to New York City in 1957. Three years later, he married and moved to Newark.
