Hazel Bliss Finlay Collection
This collection contains materials related to Miss Townsend's School, a private secondary school for girls in Newark. Included are copies of the Sphinx, the school's literary magazine, from 1908 and 1909. Also included are commencement programs and invitations (1906-1909), programs from school plays and recitals, and a booklet of songs written for the school by Frances Leavitt.

This collection was donated in three batches. The original donation, in August 2016, consists of papers related to the World War I military service of late Newark resident Henry G. Francisco. A later donation, in August 2017, contains genealogical information about the Francisco family. In March 2021, a third donation contained miscellaneous materials mostly related to Francisco's life after World War I.
