This collection was donated in three batches. The original donation, in August 2016, consists of papers related to the World War I military service of late Newark resident Henry G. Francisco. A later donation, in August 2017, contains genealogical information about the Francisco family. In March 2021, a third donation contained miscellaneous materials mostly related to Francisco's life after World War I.
The collection consists mainly of clippings, brochures, pamphlets, photocopies, and copies of images collected by John T. Cunningham for his many books and articles, primarily about New Jersey. It includes some notes for his books and articles, and the text of many of the talks he gave, as well as typed copies of a few of his manuscripts, and published copies of about a dozen of his books.
This collection consists of autographed photographs, newspaper clippings, brochures, fliers, medals, plaques, and awards, pertaining to Saxton's boxing career.
