Dr. Elpidio Laguna Diaz was an Associate Professor at Rutgers-Newark, where he founded and directed the Hispanic Civilization and Language Studies program. He also advised numerous Rutgers student organizations such as the Spanish Club, the Portuguese American Club, and the Peruvian Americans Student Organization.
