Elpidio Laguna-Diaz and Asela Rodriguez-Laguna Papers
Abstract
Dr. Elpidio Laguna Diaz was an Associate Professor at Rutgers-Newark, where he founded and directed the Hispanic Civilization and Language Studies program. He also advised numerous Rutgers student organizations such as the Spanish Club, the Portuguese American Club, and the Peruvian Americans Student Organization. Dr. Asela Rodriguez de Laguna was a Professor of Spanish at Rutgers-Newark and served as Director of Hispanic Civilization & Language Studies Program from 1992-1999. She also served as Department Chair of Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures from 2005 to 2011. Her research interests include history of the Spanish language and Christopher Columbus in Spanish literature. The collection consists of the following subjects: clubs and organizations, education, Portuguese and Spanish literature.
