Module 13 Termination Lecture and Exercise: Life Cycle (MSW Program), c. 1980 - 1987
Scope and Contents
The Module 13: Life Cycle Termination lecture from the Experimental M.S.W. Program for Bilingual / Bicultural Hispanics was recorded on videocassette. Hilda Hidalgo reviewed the life cycle stages and tasks a person had to accomplish in order to reach each stage. Dr. Hidalgo also reviewed the social and cultural norms associated with each life cycle stage. The students’ task was to apply the life cycle perspective to an analysis of the emotional impact of a termination experience. A group of four students discussed how death affected a person’s behavior and identified issues a client faced in this particular situation.
