Scope and Contents
This videocassette is comprised of three sections. The first section is a recording of The Naked Civil Servant. The film is an autobiography of Quentin Crisp, a homosexual male who briefly worked as a rent-boy. The second section is a McNeil Lehrer News Hour report on gay and lesbian political activity in San Francisco. The visibility of gay activism helped gay candidates get elected to local government positions. The last section was a recording of Family Values, a film dedicated to lesbian activists on behalf of AIDS awareness. The film is comprised of interviews regarding community involvement and organizations that helped fundraise for AIDS research.
