Scope and Contents
This collection contains newspaper clippings created as part of a weekly column for the Newark Sunday Call, titled "On the Antique Trail," which was published weekly between January 1938 and April 1940. The articles were created by Elisabeth Logan and are on the topic of antiques, with a geographic emphasis on New Jersey antique collectors and antique items from Europe. The articles include news items, queries and answers on antiques, as well as an index.

Biographical / Historical
Elisabeth Logan was born in Newark in 1914. She is the daughter of James Parmelee Logan, who worked for the Newark Evening News and served as editor of the Newark Sunday Call from 1925-1936. Logan is of Scottish-Irish ancestry, and her ancestrs served in the revolutionary war. She grew up in Montclair in a very affluent family, and studied at the University of Michigan. After marrying John A. Pulvermann in 1942, she moved around the country, eventually returning to New Jersey and passing away in 2013.
