Biographical / Historical

In 1833 the New Jersey Howard Society was founded for Prison Reform, followed by the NJ Prison Reform Association in 1849, followed by the New Jersey State Charities Aid Association in 1886, which became the New Jersey State Charities Aid and Prison Reform Association.
