Scope and Contents This collection contains materials related to Miss Townsend's School, a private secondary school for girls in Newark. Included are copies of the Sphinx, the school's literary magazine, from 1908 and 1909. Also included are commencement programs and invitations (1906-1909), programs from school plays and recitals, and a booklet of songs written for the school by Frances Leavitt.
