Roberto Rivera-Soto Papers
Abstract
The collection documents Roberto Rivera-Soto’s career as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey. The collection spans the years from 1953-2006, with the bulk of the papers dating from 2004-2005. The papers include his personal and biographical life, correspondence, programs, publications, invitations, greeting cards, flyers, newspaper clippings, and photographs. The papers are in English and Spanish. The materials written in Spanish are from his early life in Puerto Rico and several newspaper clippings announcing his nomination to the Supreme Court. The collection contains information about his parents, his family, his wife and three children. Included are personal documents such as his and his sons’s birth certificates and his fathers’ death certificate.
