Abstract
Myrna Milan, Esq. worked with ASPIRA Inc. of New Jersey for 3 years, then went on to study law. She became an attorney and then a municipal judge. After her judgeship, she became the City Administrator of Elizabeth, NJ. She is now retired. In this collection are two chapbooks published for the Hoboken Oral History Project, a 1978 annual report of the Puerto Rican Congress of New Jersey, and an analysis of public school education for Puerto Rican Children in New Jersey, prepared by the Puerto Rican Consortium for a Thorough and Efficient Education, outlining essential priorities for Puerto Rican children to receive quality education. The collection also contains two CDs, one of the first and second Puerto Rican Day Parade in Hoboken and one of the “Asociación de comerciantes Hispano: Coronacion para el desfile puertorriqueno,” as well as a film reel of the first Hoboken Puerto Rican Parade.
