Abstract
The Dover New Jersey Spanish American Federal Credit Union was founded in 1970 with seven members and $55. The Credit Union was created as part of a social services center for employees to begin offering financial services. The Spanish American FCU continued to serve the community until its merger with the Morristown Federal Credit Union, 37 years later. At the time of the merger, the Spanish American FCU had assets of over $14 million. The records primarily consist of documents relating to the business and financial procedures of the Credit Union and realia, such as raised seals and deposit bags.
