Scope and Contents
BOX #9:
Jews: Exhibit materials from Jewish Newark library exhibit, including timeline and captions (undated); printed report of an investigation by the Jewish Men's Club into the condition of Jewish education in Newark, with statistics on the numbers of Jewish children receiving Hebrew education, and where; a list of Hebrew schools, and the capacity of each; the number, and gender of teachers, and salaries; data on fees; etc. (1909). Also included is information related to the marriage of Helen Einhorn and Benjamin Glueckfield (1912), with genealogical details regarding both the Einhorn, and Glueckfield families; and an address to the Kushner Academy with reminiscences of the school (then called Yeshiva of Newark) in the 1940s (2005). Congregation Ahavas Shalom event journals: "A Tribute to Rabbi Marton Gutman" (1986), 75th anniversary celebration (1980).
