Biographical / Historical
From its founding in 1875 in Newark, NJPHA started as the New Jersey Sanitary Association, which helped lobby for a State Board of Health.
Renamed the New Jersey Health and Sanitary Association (NJHSA) in 1927, now the New Jersey Public Health Association.
