Newark 250th Anniversary Commemorative Spoon - Robert Treat, 1916
Scope and Contents
Two Sterling Silver commemorative spoons. The top stem of the spoon has an eagle with its wings spread perched on the city seal of Newark. The bottom stem of the spoon reads "New Jersey". Robert Treat directing the landing of the founders of Newark is etched on the bowl of the spoon. "1666-250th Anniversary, 1916" on top of figure and "Robert Treat" at Robert Treat's feet.
