Glass Negatives , c. 1889-1904

 File — Box: 1-8

Scope and Contents

The bulk of the negatives seem to be of Esther's household, and friends, as well as some nature shots.

Notes were written on the boxes of negatives, potentially by Robert Harold Heller, however, they didn't often match up to the actual negatives so it's possible the negatives got mixed up at some point over the years.

The following is what was readable from the notes. The box tops with notes were kept and are in Box 9, so they can perhaps be further analyzed in future. Box information refers to current location of the negatives that accompanied the notes at the time the library received them.

General

Note says date is "before 1903". However, Esther died in 1904. Subjects seem to be children, so it's likely these are all taken after her marriage and the birth of her first child in 1889.
