Scope and Contents
This is a collection of materials donated by the Ironbound Community Corporation, a group located in
the Ironbound section of Newark. Founded in 1969, ICC works “on a range of neighborhood issues --
from affordable housing and economic development to safe streets, clean air, and educational
opportunities for adults and children,” according to its Web site. ICC is funded by foundations,
government agencies, and contributions from the community.
