Biographical / Historical
The Evening Post was a conservative newspaper founded by Alexander Hamiliton in 1801. William Cullen Bryant, the editor of the paper copies availble in this colletion, was an abolitionist and well respected during his time. His guidance provided a different philosphical approach to issues published during the 19th century.
