Newark native Donald M. Karp, an attorney, bank executive, and business consultant, is a noted collector of printed items, graphics, manuscript material, and artifacts relating to Newark history. He has made several donations of material from his collection to the Newark Public Library. These postcards are arranged alphabetically by topic. The categories vary widely in size, with some containing only one or two cards and others several dozen. The large sections on Buildings and Streets are further subdivided.
