Wagenheim, Kal. “New Jersey’s Hispanic Population: An Overview of Quality of Life.” (2 of 2), 1980
Scope and Contents
The writings in this subseries were composed by Dr. Hidalgo’s friends, colleagues, students, and professional collaborators. The authors represented in this subseries either personally sent Dr. Hidalgo drafts or final versions of their work with notations thanking Dr. Hidalgo for her help and support or are writers who collaborated with her in other multi-authored works present in this collection. Drafts of chapters for the book Hispanic Temas, edited by Dr, Hidalgo and Joan McEniry are found in this sub-series. Also located in this sub-series is a presentation given by Grizel Ubarry at the The Child Abuse and Neglect - A Hispanic Perspective Conference. Notably, this subseries contains a collection of unpublished poems, titled “In the Mind’s Eye,” by Dr. Hidalgo’s partner, Joan McEniry. An original draft of the Nicholasa Mohr short story, “An Awakening… Summer 1956,” may also be found in Series II, Subseries A: Scrapbook and Photograph Albums, “60th Birthday Scrapbook (2 of 2).”
