J. Edgar Hoover Visit to Newark
Folder 1: J. Edgar Hoover’s visit to Newark for dedication of Newark Police Academy at 18th Ave. and Norwood St. (Oct 6, 1936). One shows him shaking hands with Mayor Ellenstein. Also, the flag-draped building and Hoover touring the interior, with staff and equipment. (See, Newark Evening News, Oct 6, 1936, p. 12.)
