Newark Community Photos
Scope and Contents
The bulk of this collection is family photos of families and individuals including large amounts from the Mattia (Rita Mattia) and Bolden families (Marion Bolden). It also includes video material of Bamberger's, video items by Julius Spohn, etc.
The bulk of this collection was collected during Newark's 350th anniversary celebration when Newark received a grant from the Carnegie Foundation to collect and digitize local history.
Other additions were made from later donations of digital family photos including a large donation of Mattia Family photos. It also includes Annelo family memories donated digitally, Bamberger's videos, Julius Spohn videos, etc.

Abstract
This open collection of photos of Newark families was collected mostly during Newark's 350th anniversary.
Processing Information
Many of these photos were donated digitally in .jpg or other format and so the library does not own high resolution copies.
Others were scanned at 600 dpi tiff and returned to donors, as part of the grant project.
