Abstract
This collection consists of interviews conducted under a project entitled "Patterns of Nurse Education and Health Care," administered by Rutgers University's Graduate Program of Nursing (Newark), in 1982. The interviewers were students, supervised by Dr. Ruth Greenberg-Edelstein. The interviews cover nursing education and work experience from the 1920s on, including reminiscences of Depression-era nursing, early midwifery, World War II service, Vietnam War nursing, etc. Most interviews are individual life and work histories, but a few address special topics, for example, Dr. Henry Konzlemann's interview on "Medical Nursing Practice in New jersey: A Physician's Perspective."
