Biographical / Historical

The Newark Soroptimist Club was organized in 1944 as the ninth Soroptimist group in the state, and worked with North Atlantic Region of the American Federation of Soroptimist Clubs founded in 1921. Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls.
