Scope and Contents
The Chamber of Commerce of Newark was founded in 1868 to promote business and industry in the city. The Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce Collection contains printed material related to the affairs of the Chamber of Commerce, including:
1 folder of issues of "The Exec," the newsletter of the GNCC (1969-1976);
1 folder of issues of "Info," a monthly newsletter of the Research and Government Affairs Department of the GNCC (1971-1973);
2 issues of "Trends," another newsletter of the Research and Government Affairs Department (1976);
press releases (1970-1976);
a folder with a few pamphlets and brochures, including the announcement of "Newark on Parade," an exposition sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce with the cooperation of the Federal Housing Administration (1935);
a program from the Love Newark Committee's Golden Broom Awards Ceremony (1989).
