Scope and Contents

This collection is comprised of one scrapbook entitled "Current Events in Art" (November 1929 - April 1930). The scrapbook consists of typed lists of monthly "Current Art Talks"; each month's list is followed by clippings, and, in one case, a catalogue for an exhibit of paintings by Emma Fordyce MacRae at the Roerich Museum (1930). These materials document the brief talks given at monthly meetings of The Contemporary of Newark, a cultural club. The scrapbook appears to have been compiled by Esther L. Pickwick.
