The collection contains annual reports (1967, 1971, 1972); a 75th anniversary brochure, with a brief history of FSBN (1957); an FSBN publication, "Man in Emotional Space" (1958); minutes of the Board of Trustees and of the Board of Directors (1961-1974); minutes, agendas, and assorted material related to the Case Committee (1962-1968); correspondence to and from Bernard Schein, Deputy Director of FSBN (1961-1968); and a folder of Board-related material including budgets, bylaws, committee assignments, etc. (1960-1975).

Biographical / Historical
The Family Service Bureau of Newark, originally called the Bureau of Associated Charities, has served Newark, Belleville, and Irvington, NJ since 1882. FSBN provides behavioral and mental health services to individuals and families struggling with domestic violence, juvenile misbehavior, truancy, school problems, and child abuse and neglect, among other problems. As of 2008, FSBN had two locations, one at 274 South Orange Ave. in Newark and another in Kearny.
