Scope and Contents
Volumes 1-3, contain c. 300 black and white photographs with hand written labels documenting the family’s voyage from New York, and travel throughout England. Images include shipboard scenes, and tourist sites such as cathedrals and castles, but also include scenes of rural and village life, and photographs of members of the Holton and True family; Volume 1 also includes a hand drawn map (2 pages), typed itinerary (2 pages), and a typed narrative (20 pages) Volume 3 is devoted almost entirely to London and includes several images of a peace rally including shots of placards carried in the rally, two men carrying a sign for Stalin, peace broadsides, and individuals and groups watching or participating in the rally.
